I am a more than a survivor. I view challenges as a learning adventure and expect all things to work together for a good purpose. (Romans 8:28)
I am an author of articles, curricula, devotions, and Fire of Hope: Finding Treasure in the Rubble.
I am a veteran educator who has developed curricula, workshops, and led support groups over the past twenty-five years. After my devastating experience in the Waldo Canyon fire, I created trauma recovery tools, founded ThriveWithHope.com, a web-based community, and wrote Fire of Hope to help others find their way back to wholeness, too.
I am married to my best friend and soul mate, Rex. Our blended family of six amazing children fills us with love beyond measure. We live in Manitou Springs, Colorado with our youngest two children and King Charles cavalier dogs.
I am in my element when surrounded by nature. Our home is nestled in the mountains, with hiking trails beckoning us for adventure. I’m likely to be found off the beaten path, hiking near a creek with my dogs. I stomp through rain puddles and jump boulders in rivers. I see obstacles as challenges to overcome, and life as an adventure.
My Life Quote:
Love feels no burden, thinks nothing of trouble, attempts what is above strength, pleads no excuse of impossibility, for it thinks…all things are possible.
